A walking holiday in the Grazalema Natural Park, Spain with Andalucian Adventures

Peace and pinsapos We follow picturesque routes past trout streams, through pastoral valleys, dramatic gorges and dense woodland. This is a week rich in bird and plant life; a third of all Spain's plants grow here and the park is one of the main 'fly ways' between Africa and Europe.

Arrival day
Leaving Málaga we arrive in Grazalema in time for a short explore and a drink before dinner.

The Goatherd's leap
This famous walk takes in secret valleys dotted with majestic oak trees. All day we enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains while a myriad of wild flowers carpet our routes in the spring.

Pinsapo forest
Crossing the spectacular Palomas pass we arrive at the start of this walk, close to Grazalema.We make a stiff climb into the heart of the Grazalema Natural Reserve enjoying excellent views over the sierra. We then go through the ancient Pinsapo forest with all its magic. Finally we descend to Benamahoma.

Grazalema to Villaluenga
A route of romance, we travel through Dornajo and it's abandoned farm to the village of Villaluenga with views to Cadiz on a clear day.

Grazalema to Zahara
This is a lovely gentle descent which follows a verdant valley dotted with old watermills. Swinging west we follow a lovely track with views of Zahara and its lake.

Free day
A chance to visit the historic town of Ronda, explore nearby Grazalema or enjoy a restful day around the hotel.

Villaluenga road to Montejaque
A lovely walk down into Montejaque through cork woods and green valleys edged by limestone cliffs. We pass abandoned farms and enjoy all-round views.

Departure day
After breakfast we return back to Málaga airport for 10.00.
