Breaking our journey with a short stop in the extraordinary town of Orvieto, we arrive in time for dinner.

Trails to Todi
We walk from our hotel, through a landscape steeped in history and legend to nearby Todi, once voted the most liveable place in the world!

Meanders on Mount Subasio
A day in the Natural Park of Mount Subasio, a protected area with peaceful paths across open meadows and ancient oak and chestnut trees. Below us lies Assisi.

Free day
A great opportunity to visit Assisi and its many artistic treasures.

Lakeside Lingering
We follow the shores of Lake Cordoba, lined with sleepy villages and surrounded by rolling hills.

The Church of San Venanzo
From our hotel we follow paths through ancient woodland and vineyards where the famous Torgiano grape is grown.We continue through ancient agricultural hamlets encircled by olive groves before descending to the ancient church of San Venanzo.

Along the Tiber
A gentle day's walking along the banks of the Tiber surrounded by the green and silent mountains of the Valtiberina. This is a mystical landscape with ancient spiritual associations and we pass ruined abbeys, crumbling chapels and disused water mills.

Departure day
After an early breakfast we arrive back at Rome Fiumicino airport for 09.15.
