Trained as an illustrator, Sue spent many years in London as a freelancer on magazines
and childrens' books.
She moved to Cornwall with her young family where she ran smallholdings, taught
drawing and printmaking and sold etchings.
In 1989 she moved to St Martin's on the Isles of Scilly where she ran a gallery
and painted full time.
Her greatest love is working in sketch books and journals many of which, including
"A Week on Scilly" have been published. Sue has many years' experience
tutoring on Scilly and will share her passion for the islands.
"I like to record the small changes in the landscape and my emotional reaction
to the day while getting to know an area intimately."
"I love to share the excitement of colour and drawing, light and life and how
to record it all through sketching. There's no right or wrong - just your own way
of seeing."
