Where we photograph - click on a country
Whether you are one of our many regular travellers or a new
adventurer, an experienced photographer or someone new to the joys of digital photography,
we will certainly have a photography holiday to suit you.
Our tutors
We are proud to introduce Linda Wright, Andy Midgley and Mike Cumberbatch to the
growing team of professional tutors on our photographic holidays. They are extremely
committed and friendly and want the best for everyone. They teach for a total of
6-8 hours per day although you are, of course, free to take as many breaks as you
wish!
The locations
This year, in addition to our tours within Europe – Italy, Spain and the UK, we
have added Morocco. This increases our wonderful breadth of subjects and diversity
of locations and culture.
The relaxed itineraries will blend large landscapes with intimate detail, and each
location provides indoor facilities for reviewing your digital pictures. We use
locations as close to our hotels as possible, though to maximise the potential of
the regions we have air-conditioned transport available. As usual, all activities
are optional and our hotel is an ideal place for those wishing to have a lazy day.
Your aspirations matter
Before departure the tutor will phone all our guests to ensure that they are fully-aware
of the hopes, aspirations and concerns of all those joining us.
Personal attention
There will be time set aside for group tutorials and also for one-to-one advisory
sessions with your tutor.
Group size
Groups are typically between 8 and 12 and therefore have little impact on the locals
and their environment.
Local support staff
All our photographic tours receive the full-time support of one of our local guides.
Fluent in English and the local language and customs, their role is to liaise with
the hotel, drive our minibuses and help our guests with whatever they need, thus
enabling our tutors to concentrate on you. Additionally, their local knowledge will
often take you to unusual locations.
How the holiday works
Because we know guests enjoy soaking up the sights and sounds of our unique locations,
we have tailored our holidays accordingly. Each day we have morning and evening
outings, and while each day is structured, we will adapt the days to make the most
of local events and light conditions.
For those with digital cameras there will be an opportunity to view their best images
on screen. Our tutors will also use slide shows to demonstrate both their work and
approach to photography.
Would not change a thing, it was an amazing holiday.

What you need to bring
The streets can be steep in some regions and we recommend that you are reasonably
fit and that you don’t come weighed down. Keep it simple!
Whether using film or digital you’ll need a camera that gives control over shutter
speed, aperture and a tripod. We send a suggested equipment list with your booking
confirmation, but if you have any queries prior to this you can contact your tutor
through us.
