Just nine miles from Europe, our painting holidays in Morocco
offers a fascinating mix of several major civilisations; African, Islamic, Arab
and European. As these have coexisted over history, there has been an extraordinary
mingling of cultural influences evident in the exoticism, energy and creativity
of the country and its art and architecture.
We are confident that on these art holidays you will find no shortage of inspiration
in our two bases of Marrakesh and Essaouira. Marrakech will kick start your holiday
and let you know you have truly arrived in Africa with its cacophony of sights,
sounds, aromas and vibrant colours. Essaouira will then offer another side of Morocco,
a more genteel, relaxed approach to life with its ancient ramparts, colourful harbour,
hamams, café region and art galleries.
All our tutors are chosen for their professionalism and experience in teaching different
media including watercolour, pastel, acrylic, oils, mixed media and drawing. They
are extremely committed and friendly and want the best for everyone. They teach
for a total of 6-8 hours per day. However, this is a painting holiday so you are
of course free to take as many breaks as you wish!
We are also confident that Morocco will not just enliven your senses but almost
certainly your paint palette too!
