Painting holiday

Arrival day
We arrive at Titignano in time to enjoy the stunning views and explore this ancient hamlet, our home for the coming week.

In and around the castle
We spend our first day at Titgnano – great options for landscape both near and far in this old fortified hamlet.

Spoleto
This is one of the great cities in Umbria, with its magnificent arched aqueduct, stunning duomo and square and 14th century hilltop fortress. Of course there are wonderful street scenes and for those who can take a break from painting, some great shops!

Vistas and vineyards
Titignano is a farming hamlet and the lands provide us with many delightful scenes. As the greens of the vineyards are tinged with the first tints of autumn, it's a great chance to get out the linden Green and Chinese Orange.

Free day
Our location and its swimming pool are so lovely you will probably want to just relax at Titignano. However, for those wanting some more adventure, Orvieto provides an exceptionally rich day out.

Assisi
A trip to Umbria would be incomplete without visiting Assisi. Huddled beneath the Monte Subasio lies this mystical town with the magnificent Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi and the frescoes by renowned late-medieval artists Cimabue and Giotto. Numerous painting opportunities, or explore the town with a sketchbook.

Finishing touches
Our final day gives us the chance to complete unfinished works and perhaps revisit one or two of the local settings. There is usually an informal exhibition in the late afternoon.

Departure day
We depart for Rome airport after an early breakfast.
