Our art holiday in the Isles of Scilly has proved overwhelmingly popular. With their pure air, luminous light, clear turquoise seas, exotic sub-tropical vegetation, white beaches and vibrant colours, it’s hard to imagine you are in the UK – these islands were made for painters! We now have both summer and winter breaks in the islands.

In the southern Cotswolds, we run a painting holiday and several painting courses, all based in the same comfortable hotel – a former 17th century coaching inn - with delicious food and deep sofas! This is a landscape full of secret, wooded valleys, hidden churches, manor houses, water meadows and fabulous gardens.

All our tutors are chosen for their professionalism and experience in teaching different media including watercolour, pastel, acrylic, oils, mixed media and drawing. They are extremely committed and friendly and want the best for everyone. They teach for a total of 6-8 hours per day. However, this is a painting holiday so you are of course free to take as many breaks as you wish!

Our short two day courses allow you to try out a new technique or medium or perhaps recap on a skill that has become rusty over the years... Whilst the emphasis is on learning, the atmosphere, as on our longer holidays, is relaxed and pressure free.
