Whether you are one of our many regulars or a new adventurer,
an experienced painter or someone just starting your painting life you can be sure
we have a painting holiday to suit you.
Our locations
This year, in addition to our tours within Europe – Italy, Spain, Greece and the
UK, we have added Greece and Morocco. This adds to our wonderful breadth of subjects
and diversity of locations and culture.
Our tutors
All our tutors are chosen for their professionalism and experience in teaching different
media including watercolour, pastel, acrylic, oils, mixed media and drawing. They
are extremely committed and friendly and want the best for everyone. They teach
for a total of 6-8 hours per day although you are, of course, free to take as many
breaks as you wish!
To enable you to judge our tutors and decide who might suit you, we include several
examples of their work. If it would help to talk to a specific tutor prior to making
a booking we are happy to give you their telephone numbers.
How the holiday works
Before departure our tutors phone all our guests to ensure that they are fully aware
of the hopes, aspirations and concerns of all those joining us.
To ensure you experience the region to the full we use taxis or new minibuses to
go further afield. On most evenings we have slide shows, demonstrations or personal
tutorials.
We often accommodate those wishing to enjoy the organisation and company of our
holidays, but who prefer to operate independently of our tutors.
Local support staff
As on all our art holidays, our painting tours receive the full-time support of
one of our local guides. Fluent in English and the local language and customs, their
role is to liaise with the hotel, drive our minibuses and help our guests with whatever
they need, thus enabling our tutors to concentrate on you. Additionally, their local
knowledge will often take you to unusual locations.
Equipment
We supply all the equipment that’s awkward to transport – the chairs and the boards
in all locations except Ithaca. We send all guests equipment lists which are personalised
by the different tutors.
Roger has given 100% of his time to all of us - and more. I have learned a lot and am looking forward to utilizing this - but also it has been a fun holiday, totally stress-free.

What if it rains?
Rain is rare in our locations and we choose the dates carefully. However should
it arrive, we have excellent facilities for working indoors.
