Spain - regional highlights

Mallorca • Sierra de Tramuntana

Tramuntana Natural Park
Tramuntana Natural Park

Lying between by the sparkling Mediterranean to the north and the spectacular Serra de Tramuntana to the south lies the old town of Soller and its separate port. Here, in this wonderful setting we have chosen to base our Mallorcan adventures.

Exploring the mountains we follow old trading and pilgrim paths between ancient walls, through groves of olives and evergreen oaks. We will chance upon majestic monasteries in landscapes disturbed only by birdsong and stop in villages of exquisite beauty where the orange juice is as sweet and as fresh as it comes.

The footpaths are deliciously tempting to walkers and painters alike, sometimes meandering through silent valleys and shaded groves while at other times descending to the cool waters of the bays.

For the epicureans and in particular fish lovers, the waterfront restaurants should bring the adventures and excitement of the day to a memorable conclusion.

Where we stay

A 17th century fortified mansion set just back from the sea in
wonderful gardens.

Pool, treatments and a great collection of lounges. It is positioned in the heart of the old Soller Port just beneath the
spectacular Tramuntana mountains. Journey time 35 minutes.
